Irene Ridjab - Mid of My Journey

It has been over three months that I put a challenge to myself in achieving perfect body and eating healthy foods. I’d like to share my feeling toward mid of my journey. How do I feel so far?

This is how I feel in doing the healthy living process and getting the perfect body as a bonus.

First, THE PROCESS

Process comes from Latin word as PROCEDERE. The Process means a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end. If we are talking about the process, there won’t be nice and easy because each process requires sacrifice. Everything that has gone with process will require patience and ‘price’ to pay.

Patience and price that I have sacrifice is to build healthy living habit. I struggle in building this habit until this habit shape my life up.

Second, nothing comes in INSTANT

Most people in this world always look for quick / instant result. They want to have the result but refuse the process. By simply going through the right process, we can achieve the best result. If something can be done instantly, the result won’t last long. Easy come and easy go.

I realize this thing and it requires energy, time, money, knowledge and many other things to achieve my healthy lifestyle. This won’t be happening instantly, there is process of time that I need to go through and live in it.

Third, Ever think about GIVING UP

Often in the process that I’m going through, I feel like giving up. Sometimes I feel bored, saturated and tired. I learn from people that failed people is the one who quit early or stop trying.

When I decided to dedicate myself to achieve my healthy goal, there is no “Giving Up” word in my dictionary. I encourage myself by reminding the healthy goal I want to achieve every single day.

Fourth, FEAR for not achieving the goal

As human like you are, it is natural to be fear for not achieving the goal. However, this fear isn’t make me stopping and then fail.

I realize this FEAR is the abbreviation of “False Evidence Appear Real”. Surely my fear is not necessarily happened so it is okay to feel fear but it isn’t okay to act on those feelings. Rather than spending my time on those fear and making it comes true, it is far better to realize my dream to become reality!

Fifth, FOCUS on the target

The more clear and detail of a goal, the more energy and motivation given by someone to achieve it. Therefore I focus myself completely to achieve my own goal.

I train myself to have the acuity to achieve what I have been focusing in my healthy goal. When I can picture clearly in my mind (imagination), I feel I can make it happen.

Sixth, CONSISTENCY and COMMITMENT

Consistency and Commitment are two main elements for me to achieve a goal. I train it everyday in my life because without these two elements, it is impossible for me to achieve my healthy goal.

I build this commitment and consistency by disciplining myself in my exercise, my dietary and many other things that relate to my healthy goal this year. With such limited time and high daily routines, I always try to consume time wisely and balance between my family, work and goal.

Herewith my result after 3 months » my size has been reduced from Large to Small. I lost my weight around 6 kg but it isn’t significant as it becomes muscles.

I feel satisfied with my achievement today because I can see some progress of the process in the last 3 months. I feel grateful to God for having people who always support me, like family and best friends, but my journey isn’t end yet. It’s just halfway through my healthy goal so I’ll make sure to KEEP MAKING PROGRESS!
